The competition proposal incorporated community facilities, parking and landscaping to create a place of arrival from which visitors could appreciate the historic Cape Agulhas Lighthouse.
Separate low-scale buildings were arranged around a gathering space and linked by a covered walkway leading to a timber viewing deck. A boardwalk extended from the complex towards the lighthouse on the hill.
