I have always seen buildings as more than structures; they are a concrete legacy for the generations that succeed us. Designing and building timeless structures is made possible at the intersection of creativity and science. Throughout my thirty years as a practising project architect, I have applied and harnessed this mindset, and, as a result, worked on a broad range of buildings across varying climates and regions in South Africa.
In an age where reducing our carbon footprint and preserving nature have become essential, I specialise in sustainable architecture. My methods include a range of construction techniques, along with appropriate technological solutions, bringing to life my clients' ideals and visions in harmony with the surrounding environment.
Practising for some of the most prestigious architectural firms in South Africa afforded me the opportunity to work with international and local clients from the corporate, NGO and private sectors. Since 2012, I have primarily worked on projects on the Atlantic Seaboard, managing new-build residences while performing extensive alterations and additions to some of South Africa's most distinctive residential properties.

My job is to ensure that no matter how complex the build or alteration, construction is completed to the highest standard achievable, meeting each client's specific needs and exceeding their expectations.

Principal Agent, start to finish
I act as Principal Agent under the standard JBCC building contract, administering the project through construction and ensuring compliance with national energy regulations.

Working with service consultants, I optimise electrical, mechanical and water systems, cutting long-term running costs while meeting energy-efficiency regulations.
